Thanks!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tim Bohen: The Early Years<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today\u2019s episode starts off with a trip down memory lane with Tim as he reflects on his journey into the markets and trading.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He started looking at stocks in newspapers when he was still in grade school. He\u2019s a self-proclaimed dork and would watch stocks like Apple and Microsoft. In high school, Bohen subscribed to the Wall Street Journal and has been a subscriber ever since.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In college, mutual funds were the \u201cbig thing.\u201d So he started investing some money from his pizza delivery job. But he says he never really made any money.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Years later, he missed the dot-com boom while he was starting his own business.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the boom, when his business was stable, he started putting more money into the markets. Mostly trading \u2018real\u2019 stocks. But again, he wasn\u2019t making any money.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then one day, he got a recommendation on Amazon for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.steadytrade.com\/trading-syke-ology-with-tim-sykes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tim Sykes\u2019<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> book, \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.timothysykes.com\/an-american-hedgefund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An American Hedge Fund<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u201d He got it \u2026 and his life changed forever.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tim Bohen\u2019s \u2018Aha\u2019 Moment<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stephen asks Tim when trading <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.steadytrade.com\/ep-163-what-makes-trading-click\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018clicked\u2019<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tim says it was after reading Sykes\u2019 book and realizing he could short penny stocks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Penny stocks were all flying back then \u2014 but they all eventually failed. And shorting fit Tim\u2019s skeptical personality. That\u2019s when he says he finally started finding consistency.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The toughest thing about shorting was getting the locates. Tim sure wishes <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.steadytrade.com\/episode-183-dan-pipitone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dan Pipitone<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was around back then.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once trading was clicking for Tim, he sold his business to trade full time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He admits trading can be lonely. So when he was approached by StocksToTrade to become a trainer, he jumped at the chance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now he\u2019s never been happier in his professional career.
