If you wanted to short a stock you had to pick up the phone and call your broker to see if there were shares to borrow.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dan saw a way they could automate it all to try to make it easier.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As he says, it\u2019s one thing to be long and wrong &#8230; But it\u2019s even worse is to know that a stock will fail, but you don\u2019t have access to any shares.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Traders want to know \u201cwhen you go to click the button, that the button is clickable.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s what Day says TradeZero is all about \u2014 giving traders more access, advantages, and options. It even gives traders the ability to sell their locates back, like a marketplace. You gotta hear how this works!\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is TradeZero Just for Short Selling?\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TradeZero doesn\u2019t discourage long traders. But as Dan says, \u201cthere\u2019s nothing sexy\u201d about the availability of stock for a long trade &#8230; If your broker doesn\u2019t have stock for you to buy, you need another <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.steadytrade.com\/borrows-and-brokers\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">broker<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Dan, TradeZero is about the democratization of the stock market. He doesn\u2019t think traders should be penalized for being contrarian thinkers. Having stocks available for shorting is a top priority, but having them at a decent price is a close second&#8230;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s all about giving traders access to stocks so they can choose the strategy that works for them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And what about the risks of short selling and margin?
