Once he became a VP and had some extra money, he wanted to create more wealth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He tried flipping a house, but it took too long. That\u2019s when he turned to trading \u2026 He thought it would be a way to make fast money.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alex discovered Tim Sykes and started following him \u2014 but his mindset was all wrong. He can be honest about it now: he just wanted to get rich quick&#8230;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was gambling, not trading. He had extra money to burn, and burn it he did. Once, he lost over $6K in a single trade.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alex talks frankly about what he had to go through to really get serious about trading. There\u2019s the time his trading fees and losses made him think he\u2019d been robbed \u2026 And then there\u2019s how FOMO pushed him into mistakes like foolishly risking too much.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What\u2019s key for him is his transition. That happened when he realized that consistency is more important than one-off profits. Or as he puts it: \u201cI used to care about money, which is why I sucked.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once he realized that staying consistent was so important, he had a huge \u2014 and powerful \u2014 mindset shift. That helped him see things much differently.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Compare = Despair?\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alex talks about comparison and how it\u2019s often a bad thing \u2026 But there are some exceptions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There can be some benefit to constructive self-comparison. For instance, figure out how you can improve who you were yesterday \u2026 then positively compare yourself to who you want to be tomorrow.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Should You Trade Full Time?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alex and the crew get into the benefits of NOT trading full time. They talk about the security of having a \u201creal\u201d job \u2026 including how it can help you avoid overtrading.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Alex, having limited time to trade helped him get serious about being the strongest trader he can possibly be.
