Here are just a few highlights from the show&#8230;<\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s a Dead Cat Bounce?<\/h2>\n<p>A listener saw a recent Facebook post by Tim Bohen about dead cat bounces &#8230; what\u2019s the deal?<\/p>\n<p>Well, Tim has several cats, but happily, this pattern has nothing to do with them.<\/p>\n<p>The dead cat bounce is a stock chart pattern. It\u2019s characterized by a long-term downtrending chart of months or even years &#8230; a bleeding stock. Then, right when you think it\u2019s bled out, it experiences unusual volume, usually based on news. And that makes the stock \u201cbounce.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The problem? This bounce is usually short-lived.<\/p>\n<p>Tim and Stephen explain different approaches to this type of pattern. Learn why it\u2019s one of Stephen\u2019s favorite patterns to short, as well as his tips for entry and exit.<\/p>\n<h2>How Has Tim Influenced Stephen\u2019s Trading?<\/h2>\n<p>One listener who\u2019s been following Stephen ever since his first YouTube video notes he\u2019s changed a lot since the early days. Has SteadyTrade co-host Tim Bohen\u2019s influence been a factor?<\/p>\n<p>The hosts zip back in time and discuss how Stephen\u2019s trading has evolved in the past few years, including what\u2019s has gone right and wrong.<\/p>\n<p>The reality is that anything and everything can affect your trading. But here\u2019s what Stephen notes as the cause of some of the biggest changes in his trading: \u201cSeeing the same situation over and over and over again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In other words, he\u2019s learning that he simply can\u2019t keep losing in the same ways anymore.<\/p>\n<p>Tim agrees, saying, \u201c<strong>There\u2019s no shortcut in this business.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Is Commission-Free Trading a Good Thing?<\/h2>\n<p>In recent months, plenty of brokers have been going commission-free. How will this affect the market?<\/p>\n<p>No huge surprise, Tim and Stephen have differing opinions &#8230; who will you agree with?<\/p>\n<p>Tim argues that commission-free trading is good, especially if you\u2019re trading with a small account. If you only have $1,000 in your account and you spend $100 a month in commissions, that can add up!<\/p>\n<p>Tim also adds that for better or worse, it will likely bring more \u201cdumb money\u201d to the market &#8230; That could give educated traders an edge!<\/p>\n<p>Stephen acknowledges some of the advantages, but he also argues that there could be negative effects. Could commission-free trading lead to less discipline and more bad decisions? Learn why weighing your trades carefully is still so necessary.<\/p>\n<h2>Do Donald Trump\u2019s Tweets Move the Market?<\/h2>\n<p>One listener references a recent article in \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.barrons.com\/articles\/donald-trump-twitter-stock-market-51567803655\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Barron\u2019s<\/a>\u201d that mentions the impact of President Trump\u2019s tweets on the stock market. Is it possible to take advantage of this?<\/p>\n<p>According to Tim, \u201cThe Trump tweet effect is real.\u201d People are watching his tweets and trading on them. Is that philosophically good or bad? Should Trump be tweeting about corporations &#8230; is it his place?<\/p>\n<p>Does any of that even matter?<\/p>\n<p>After all, yes &#8230; tweets DO move the market these days. But the moves are extremely rapid. And you\u2019re competing with algorithms and professionals who closely monitor this sort of thing.
