Today, they\u2019re joining SteadyTrade to share their thoughts on important trading-related topics like the importance of connection, going from red to green, and how they\u2019re working on breaking through the PDT barrier. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">About Bryce and Matt<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>Bryce: \u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Originally from Syracuse, New York, Bryce\u2019s college identity was initially all about basketball. But after transferring to a different school he met Matt \u2014 his partner in crime and business. He introduced Matt to freelance writing, which is an income source for him. And Matt introduced Bryce to trading. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, Bryce is in his fourth year of college and working on an internship learning about supply chain management. He\u2019s been trading just shy of two years but isn\u2019t yet profitable. For him, the podcast, hopefully, is a means of changing that.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Matt: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Growing up, Matt always had \u2018\u201ca knack for money\u201d. By the age of 14 or so, he was selling iPhone cases on eBay for profit \u2014 just the first in a long line of side hustles. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">About two years ago, when he was early on in his college career, he joined the Tim Sykes Trading Challenge. This was his introduction to trading, and he was almost instantly hooked. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like Bryce, his first two years have been red &#8230; And actually, that\u2019s a big part of how the podcast came to be.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">About Beyond the PDT <\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bryce and Matt run the podcast <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/beyondthepdt.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beyond the PDT<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. In case you\u2019re not familiar, PDT stands for the pattern day trader rule. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The PDT is designed to protect traders with small accounts. It limits how many trades you can execute per week when your account totals less than $25K. Breaking through the PDT is considered a huge milestone for new traders. It\u2019s viewed as a sign that they\u2019ve graduated to the next level. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the podcast, Bryce and Matt interview inspiring traders in hopes of helping aspiring traders \u2014 including themselves \u2014 to gain wisdom about how to break through the PDT barrier. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Motivated by individuals like Gary Vee, Bryce and Matt want to create a space to learn from and connect with established traders. Their hope is to create a community and grow as traders. Here\u2019s a sneak peek of what you\u2019ll learn: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Profits don\u2019t always come right away. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both Bryce and Matt are sheepish about the fact that two years in they\u2019re still in the red. But as Tim notes, \u201cThere\u2019s nothing wrong with being 18 months or 2 years in and not being profitable.\u201d Remember: some of today\u2019s most prominent traders took years to turn a profit. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Connection matters. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trading can be lonely, which can make it easy to lose motivation. By connecting with other traders \u2014 through interviewing them in a podcast or just by connecting online \u2014 you can create a sense of community to help you stay fresh, focused, and inspired. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Consistency is key. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One lesson that Bryce and Matt have learned is that instead of seeking profits, traders should instead focus on seeking consistency.
